How to use the PatientsCann UK® name and logo.
A short, public guide to our trade mark, logo, colours and fonts, so anyone who mentions or displays our brand can do it correctly. Please read this before using our name or mark anywhere.
Permission to use our mark
Ask us first
We're glad when people want to share and support our work. To protect patients and keep our identity consistent, please ask before you use our name or logo.
- Please get written permission before using the PatientsCann UK® name, logo or branding in any promotional material, product, campaign or published content.
- Partners are included. A current or past partnership does not, on its own, grant permission to use our name or mark. Please still ask each time.
- Don't imply endorsement. Please don't use our brand in a way that suggests we endorse a product, service or claim unless we have agreed it in writing.
- Fair mention is fine. You can refer to us by name in news, education or referencing, as long as you spell it correctly and don't alter or reproduce the logo.
Our trade mark
The name
PatientsCann UK® is a registered UK trade mark. The name is part of our identity, so please write it exactly as shown and keep the registered symbol on it.
- One word: "PatientsCann", with a capital P and capital C
- Followed by "UK"
- Show the ® symbol on the first or main mention
- Don't split it into two words or drop a letter
- Don't shorten it to an abbreviation in public content
- Don't lower-case it or restyle the capitals
® on the first or most prominent mention of the name, like this: "PatientsCann UK®". It tells readers the name is a registered mark. Our logo
The logo
Our logo is the leaf emblem beside the PatientsCann UK wordmark. It comes as finished artwork. Please always use the supplied files, and never redraw, retype or rebuild it by hand.
The two lockups
Full colour — for cream, white or light backgrounds
Reversed — for dark green, charcoal or photos
The emblem on its own
The leaf mark can be used without the wordmark where space is tight, such as app icons, social avatars, favicons and stamps. Use the full logo wherever it fits.
Clear space
Keep a clear margin around the logo, at least the height of the wordmark on every side. Keep other text, edges and images out of that space.
Smallest sizes
(about 30mm in print)
Use it below the logo's limit
If the full logo won't be at least 140px wide, use the emblem on its own instead, so the wordmark never becomes unreadable.
Logo colours
The colours in our logo
The full-colour logo uses two greens. On dark backgrounds, the reversed logo swaps to a soft mint and white. Please don't recolour the logo outside these values.
Full-colour logo
The leaf emblem and the "Cann" part of the wordmark.
The "Patients" and "UK" lettering, and the registered symbol.
Our preferred background behind the full-colour logo. White works too.
Reversed logo (on dark)
The leaf emblem in the reversed logo.
The wordmark in the reversed logo.
A recommended dark background for the reversed logo.
Our fonts
The fonts in our logo
The wordmark in our logo is set in Fredoka. We pair it with Poppins for everything else we write. These are our only two brand fonts, and both are free from Google Fonts.
Above: the logo, and the same words set live in Fredoka. In the logo the letters are saved as fixed artwork, so the shapes never shift.
The rounded, friendly face used for the logo wordmark and for our headings. Warm without being childish.
A clean, highly legible face for body text, buttons and labels. It sits naturally next to Fredoka.
Using the logo
Do and don't
The logo should always look the way it was designed. Please keep it clean, correctly coloured and undistorted.
