The Hyde Park 420 Picnic 2026 will once again bring thousands of people together in central London for one of the most well known 420 gatherings in the United Kingdom.
Taking place every year on 20 April (420) at Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park, the event has grown into a major meeting point for the UK cannabis community, including medical cannabis patients, cannabis advocates, activists and supporters of cannabis reform.
The London 420 Hyde Park gathering regularly attracts 50,000 to 100,000 people, making it one of the largest public cannabis related events in the UK. People travel from across the country to take part in the day, which blends elements of a peaceful protest, community meetup and public conversation around cannabis law reform and patient rights.
A Community Picnic Approach
For 2026, the idea is simple: one large community gathering made up of thousands of smaller picnics.
Under Royal Parks by-laws, organised events and large group gatherings are restricted, and picnic groups are limited to a maximum of 30 people. Attendees are therefore encouraged to arrive with friends, bring food and drinks, and enjoy a picnic in small groups while connecting with the wider community throughout the park.
This approach allows people to enjoy the day responsibly while respecting the rules of Hyde Park and the Royal Parks regulations.
