Reporting Clinical or Pharmaceutical Services
If you’re not completely satisfied with your clinic/pharmacy experience, don’t hesitate to reach out to your provider. They’re there to help and can often provide solutions to your concerns. However, if you feel like your concerns haven’t been properly addressed, you can also look into the independent adjudication service provided by Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS). It’s reassuring to know that most private healthcare providers and some NHS Trust Private Patient Units use this service. You can check if your provider is part of it on the ISCAS website. Remember, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) doesn’t handle complaints, but they use them to improve and regulate health and adult social care in England for both NHS and independent providers.
If your concern is with a doctor and this hasn’t been resolved by your provider, please contact the General Medical Council (GMC) if the complaint is to report serious misconduct.
